Amy Frances Grafton

MRS. AMY FRANCES GRAFTON, age 86 of Demorest, GA, died June 6, 2008 at a private care facility. Mrs. Grafton was born on October 18, 1921 in Habersham County, GA to the late Amos and Sally Churchwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Grafton. Mrs. Grafton was also preceded in death by her sisters, Lucille Dudley, and Beulah Mae Bramblett, her brothers, Crawford and Jessie Churchwell. Mrs. Grafton was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church and was a home maker. Survivors include her two daughters and sons-in-law, Martha and Lane West, and Margaret and Billy Allen, both of Cornelia, GA; one brother, Grover Churchwell, Clarkesville, GA; four grandchildren, Rick Purcell, Christy Looper, Rob and Brian Allen, and ten great-grandchildren, Laura Purcell, David Purcell, Addie Looper, Ava Looper, Kayla, Heather, Briana, John, Rebecca Allen and Christian Bird. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Luther Williams, Rev. Roy Lee Mitchell, and Rev. Brian James. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2 -4 and 7-9 on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
