ALLEN SEARS, age 48, of Maysville, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2015. Mr. Sears was born on August 19, 1966 in Commerce, Georgia to Doris Bennett Sears, of Baldwin and the late Charles H. Sears. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by brothers, Thomas Sears, and William Sears; and sister, Marsha Brady. In addition to his mother, survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Sharon Sears, of Maysville; son, Justin Sears, of Maysville; sisters Linda Murray, of Homer; Judy Owensby, of Maysville; and Barbara Kime, of Athens; brother, Dwight Sears, of Cleveland; special friends, Tommy Smallwood, Tony Smallwood, and Michelle Harris. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 22, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Billy Burrell, and Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015.
