Allen "Ak" Kidd

Allen “AK” Kidd, age 53, of Toccoa, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 10, 2018, following a brief illness. Mr. Kidd was born on June 2, 1965, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Lonnie and Shirley Kidd. He served as a Police Officer with the cities of Demorest and Alto, and at North Georgia Technical College. Mr. Kidd had previously served as an officer with Piedmont College and the City of Baldwin. He also served as a firefighter with the Habersham County Fire Department. Survivors include his fiancée, Kimberly Harrison of Toccoa; sons, Dalton Kidd and Dillon Kidd, both of Cleveland; stepsons, Hunter Harrison and Wesley Harrison, both of Toccoa; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Michael Finley of Gainesville; and nieces, Ariana Johnson of Commerce and Mikayla Finley of Gainesville. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:30 pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Robert Lawson officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 and from 1 pm until the funeral hour on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at the funeral home.
