Alfred Staples

REV. ALFRED A. STAPLES, age 96, of Demorest, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 5, 2012. Rev. Staples was born in Bath, Maine on January 24, 1916, to the late William Alfred and Annie P. Adams Staples. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Eloise Yott Staples. Rev. Staples served in the United States National Guard and was a retired Baptist Minister. He was a member of Clarkesville Baptist Church. Survivors include son, William Alfred Staples, Laurel Delaware; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Graveside service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. John Reeser officiating. All family and friends should meet at Yonah Memorial Gardens by 12:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: United Hospice, 700 South Enota Drive, Suite 202, Gainesville, GA 30501.
