Addie Newsome Caudell

ADDIE NEWSOME CAUDELL, age 91, of Homer, Georgia died Thursday, July 26, 2007 at a private care facility. Mrs. Caudell was born on March 6, 1916 in Banks County, Georgia, to the late George and Martha Broome Newsome. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Hoke Caudell, Sr., one daughter, Betty Jo Caudell, three sons, Everage Caudell, Theodore George Caudell, and Ulysess Caudell. She was a homemaker and a member of Damascus Baptist Church. Mrs. Caudell was the last member of her immediate family Survivors include: three daughters: Sandra Caudell, Homer, GA, Catherine Boone, Atlanta, GA, Evelyn Willoughby, Homer, GA; three sons: Hoke Caudell, Jr., Homer, GA, Harry Caudell, Mt. Airy, GA, Douglas Caudell, Toccoa, GA. She has 18 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007 at Damascus Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Rogers and Rev. Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
