Eddie Pruitt

EDDIE PRUITT (ALSO KNOWN AS "BLUESTICK"), age 54, Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, as results of a heart attack. Mr. Pruitt was born in Stephens County, Georgia on September 28, 1957. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Pruitt. Mr. Pruitt was a truck driver and drove over four million miles without an accident. He was a graduate of Stephens County High School and attended North Georgia Technical College. Mr. Pruitt attended the Rock of Habersham and Gateway Community Chapel. Survivors include wife, Cathy Morris Pruitt, Cornelia, GA; son, Blake Pruitt, Athens, GA; step-sons, John Dodson, Jason Dodson and his wife Alexia, both of Cornelia, GA; parents, William H. and Sandra Mobley Pruitt, Toccoa, GA; brother, Marvin Pruitt, Colbert, GA; one granddaughter, Madison Dodson; nephew, Kevin Pruitt; niece, Mary Taylor Pruitt; two great-nieces; one nephew; and his best friend and K-9, Major Pruitt. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Don Scott, Rev. Robin Martin and Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
