Wanda Upthegrove D'Agostino

Wanda Upthegrove D’Agostino, age 91, of Atlanta, formerly of Cornelia, GA and Miami, FL, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018. Mrs. D’Agostino was born on October 18, 1926, in Okeechobee, Florida, to the late Harley and Murray Hancock Upthegrove. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph D’Agostino, Jr. and her sister, Doris Johnson. Mrs. D’Agostino attended Peachtree Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved her dogs. Survivors include her son, Sheldon Joseph D’Agostino of Atlanta and Daniel Metzger and family, of Pennsylvania; special nieces, Debbie Thomas, Jan Thompson, and Kay Foster; and a host of other family and friends. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 22, 2018, at VFW Memorial Park Cemetery in Demorest, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm prior to the service on Monday at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
