R.B. Armour

R.B. Armour, age 93, of Lula, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017. Mr. Armour was born on April 15, 1924, in Hall County, Georgia; a son of the late Hance and Beulah Leech Armour. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife, Willie Mae Jackson Armour; son, Marshall Armour; sisters: Gladys Worley, Elora Cash, and Corine Hunnicutt; and brothers: Claude Armour, Harmon Armour, and Charles Armour. Mr. Armour was a member of Lula Assembly of Praise Church. Survivors include his wife, Lucille Wade Brown Armour of Lula; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria Dale and Harvey Dodd of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Genell Armour of Gainesville and Douglas and Anita Armour of Homer; sisters: Katie Lou Motes of Lula, Kathleen Bruce of Lula, and Christine Alexander of Commerce; brother, Woodrow Armour of Gainesville; seven grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Lenair Tatum and Rev. Wayne Armour officiating. Interment will follow in Living Mission United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Danny Oliver officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday, September 1, 2017, at the funeral home.
