Bessie Wix Poole

Bessie Wix Poole, age 76, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017. Ms. Poole was born on January 29, 1941, in Lafayette, Tennessee, to the late Ernie and Clara Turner Wix. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Robert, J.D., and Mike Wix and sisters: Ethel Rochelle and Mary Sisneros. Ms. Poole was a member of Alto Baptist Church. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Hulsey Silone and Tom of Lima, OH; son and daughter-in-law, Jefferson "Chuck" Hulsey and Laura of Toccoa; brother, Richard Wix of Centerville, TN; grandchildren, William Hulsey and Jonathan Hulsey; and eleven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Rev. Hal Cason officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 and from 10-11 am on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the funeral home.
